Product-Vision

A product vision is an inspiring description of what a product or service should achieve and the benefits it offers to customers. The vision serves as a guiding principle and orientation for the product team and other stakeholders and helps to maintain focus and direction during the development process.

And this is how it works:

The Product Vision Canvas helps you to collect and sort your thoughts on the most important categories. You can then use this as a basis for formulating your product vision.

1. Take 5 minutes to write down your ideas and thoughts for each quadrant on the notes.
2. Afterwards, sort the notes thematically and vote on which ideas will become part of your product development.
3. Based on the previous discussion, you will now record on notes in the “Our product vision” section what your motivation is for the product development. What do you want to achieve with the product?
4. Now formulate your product vision. The formulation aids can help you with this.
5. Then think about the next steps.
